20% Off Blemish Removal With Advanced Electrolysis

Non-Surgical Blemish Removal is a very safe and effective way to remove blemishes.

It is commonly known as Advanced Electrolysis and it uses a Short Wave Diathermy electrical current. The current used is safe with a localised effect being achieved in the target tissues.

How does the treatment work?
The electrical current is passed through a very fine needle (similar to an eyelash) into the tissue. The needle is so fine and localised that only the smallest amount of discomfort may experienced such as heat and possibly a sharp feeling. The heat is used to cauterise the tissue, which wounds, damages and destroys the targeted tissue. This process initiates the healing responses and eliminates the damaged tissue (blemish).

What are the side effects?

For a few days after treatment the area may be sensitive, show signs of redness and a little swelling. For deeper lesions there may be scabbing and a dressing may be applied for a short period. Provided that the correct aftercare instructions are followed and no infection is allowed to develop, the risks of scarring are minimal. However some of the deeper lesions may leave a faint residual mark on lighter skins or of a deeper pigmented area on darker skins. If you are prone to inflammatory hyper pigmentation, raised scarring or keloid scarring are issues that will prevent or restrict your treatment.

How long will the treatment take?

The time taken to treat any of the blemishes will depend on the size, number and nature of the problem. Your expectations and pain threshold can also alter how much is performed at any one session. It is important that the area is not “over worked” therefore treatments are spaced out at regular intervals. This will all be explained during the initial consultation and the progress will be reviewed following treatments.

When will I see results?

The blemish may be removed during the first treatment or take a couple of days for it to be eliminated from the body. It could however take between 4-6 weeks to see results or possibly even longer depending on the client and condition. During your consultation this will all be discussed as it is very much dependent on the individual client and the condition being treated.

What do I need to do afterwards?

You will need to consider activities you have planned with regards to the aftercare instructions to ensure you will able to follow them post treatment.

  • Keep the areas clean using cooled boiled water or mild antiseptic. Apply an antiseptic gel or cream as required.
  • If required, the area may need to be protected with a dressing for the next couple of days.
  • Do not touch or pick the area
  • Avoid exposing the area to any extremes of heat (use tepid water only)
  • Do not go swimming in chlorinated pools for one week
  • Do not have any other clinical skin treatment until the lesion has fully healed and always make your skin care practitioner aware of the fact you have received advanced electrolysis and when it was.
  • Avoid applying makeup on the area for at least 24hrs unless mineral makeup is being used.
  • To give the skin the best chances of healing do not put your body under strain for the next couple of days (gym, hair removal etc).
  • If there are any concerns contact us, or if you are really concerned contact your GP first then give us a call afterwards to let us know.

How much is it?
