SkinCeuticals Micropeel

The SkinCeuticals MicroPeel 20 or 30 is a three-step clinical procedure combining exfoliation, chemical peel solution using 20% or 30% Glycolic acid and a Vitamin C firming masque, to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, laxity, dullness and skin imperfections.

For optimal results, 3 to 6 treatments every 10 days to 3 weeks are recommended. Thereafter, 1 treatment 4 to 6 weeks apart  for maintenance is ideal. After a full course of 6 treatments allow a minimum of 3 months break.

SkinCeuticals Pigment Balancing Peel

The SkinCeuticals Pigment Balancing Masque contains a mixture of a pigment balancing solution containing 40% Glycolic acid and 27% Vitamin C. When mixed up this solution becomes a peel which is specifically designed to brighten pigmented skin. This treatment is effective for skin with a mottled appearance or uneven skin tone. This is a stronger superficial peel with a combination of skin brightening, anti-inflammatory and peeling agents to stimulate new skin cell growth and reveal healthy skin below. Contains a high potency Vitamin C and Embilac to lighten and suppress excess pigment production. (The Masque does not contain Hydroquinone (HQ) but has similar effectiveness to prescription strength 4% HQ). For best results use in conjunction with advanced pigment corrector, Vitamin C and sunscreen.

For optimal results, 3 to 6 treatments every 10 days to 3 weeks is recommended. Thereafter, 1 treatment 4 to 6 weeks apart  for maintenance is ideal. After a full course of 6 treatments allow a minimum of 3 months break.

Those opting for a course of SkinCeuticals peels should also be using a topical antioxidant serum containing AHA’s (fruit acids) and a broad-spectrum sunscreen to get the full benefits of the peel.

As the peels are correcting procedures, you will need to use products which will prevent the new healthy skin cells being exposed to sun damage, which can counteract the benefit of the peel and result in future photo-damage problems.
